Enroute is seeking a highly experienced Full-Stack Ruby on Rails Developer Trainee with expertise in Ruby on Rails (1-2 years of experience), Hotwire (Turbo + Stimulus), PostgreSQL, Test-driven development, REST API, AI Open AI, Claude, Gemini, Git, GitHub.

IMPORTANT: This role is initially for a 3- to 6-month project, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.

• Assist in building and maintaining product features using Ruby on Rails under the guidance of senior developers.
• Support the development of secure and scalable systems for scheduling, payments, and user management.
• Write clean, maintainable code and learn best practices for testing and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and sprint planning sessions.
• Help monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Contribute to discussions about improving tools, processes, and product quality.
• Learn to explore and integrate AI/ML capabilities to improve user experience and efficiency
• Document your progress, lessons learned, and small wins along the way.
• Excellent Communication Skills, English B2-C1

Key Responsibilities

• Guided Feature Development: Assist in building and maintaining product features using Ruby on Rails, primarily focused on smaller tasks and modules under the direct guidance of senior developers.
• Code Quality and Testing: Learn and apply best practices for writing clean, maintainable code, actively practicing Test-Driven Development (TDD) and contributing to documentation.
• Team Collaboration: Actively participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team planning sessions to rapidly absorb technical standards and product thinking.
• Tooling Exposure: Help monitor application performance and learn how to use and explore modern tools like Hotwire, Sidekiq, Redis, and foundational AI/ML integration concepts.
