Senior Ruby on Rails Developer - Backend Focus

We are looking for a Senior Developer with solid Ruby on Rails expertise to join an international team and contribute to the development of a platform that connects families with educational providers.

• 10+ years of professional experience as a developer
• Experience leading projects or technical teams (ideally in e-commerce or digital product environments)
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails
• General frontend knowledge (direct hands-on experience is a plus, but not mandatory)
• Advanced English (mandatory) – interviews will include discussions with international stakeholders
• Residency in Argentina (mandatory)

Tech stack:

• Languages: Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Frameworks: Ruby on Rails, React (in some parts of the project)
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Methodology: Agile
• Infrastructure: Active migration to AWS

Selection process:

1. Interview with Workana
2. Interview with People (Client)
3. Technical interview with the team lead (based in Silicon Valley) (Client)
4. Two interviews with the final client (one technical, one cultural)

Position Details:

• Location: Argentina (mandatory)
• Work modality: Full-time, direct hire on client’s payroll
• Company: Software company based in Pilar, Buenos Aires, providing services to global clients
• Final client industry: Edtech / Marketplace for children’s activities
• Budget range: Candidates will not be discarded based on expectations, but priority will be given to those with salary expectations equal to or below USD 8,500 gross per month.
